Pablo Marcos

Born March 31, 1937 in Laran, Chincha Alta, Peru
Pablo started working at Marvel Comics in 1970 on Conan the Barbarian, where he worked on the magazine art as well as the daily newspaper comic strip. In addition to his work on Conan, he also contributed on other Marvel titles including The Zombie, Amazing Spiderman, Tarzan,
Iron Man, Ghost Rider, The Mighty Thor, The Hulk, Defenders, Dr. Strange, The Avengers, Captain America, The Fantastic Four and many other Marvel titles.
Pablo’s career took him to DC comics in 1973 and between 1987 and 1995, he did both pencil and inking on Star Trek: the Next Generation. He also contributed on other DC titles including Manhunter, Batman, Superman, Warlord, New Gods and many more.
During his time working for Atlas/Seaboard, Pablo’s talents with pencil and ink were associated with titles like Ironjaw and the Brute.
Pablo was also a popular artist on Waldman Publishing’s Psycho, Nightmare and Scream magazines. His work also includes illustrating biographies, stories and posters for children books and other various groups.
While at Warren Magazine Publications, Pablo worked on all of their main titles including Vampirella, Creepy, and Eerie.
In 1997, he drew caricatures and biographies of numerous famous soccer players for Soccer Jr. Magazine.
For Heavy Metal Magazine, Pablo created the character Norka, and wrote storylines. He also drew picture-stories of the many famous athletes in the Sport Illustrated for Kids in the series Legends from 1998 to 2000.
In 2001, Pablo began inking the new series Crossgen Chronicles, Crux, Mystic, Silken Ghost, and Ruse.
From 2005 to 2010, he worked for Dynamite Entertainment on Red Sonja, Army of Darkness and Savage Tales. In 2010 he draws Spider for Moonstone Books.
At present, he is working on Ramses, another original character he created, and is putting the final finishes on Machu Picchu the Eternal Energy series. Pablo is also drawing a new series for Sequential Pulp Comics/Dark Horse called King Salomon's Mines.
